I wanted to become a nurse because I always loved science and through some personal experiences, I learned the immense impact nurses had on their patients.

Q: What are five reasons to become a nurse?
My top five reasons to become a nurse would be:
  1. The ability to be there for someone in the hardest time of their life
  2. Have a career that is constantly changing and limitless in terms of opportunities
  3. Be challenged and educated on the most current healthcare directives
  4. Work with amazing people
  5. You never know what the day will bring

Q: What advice would you give to a student interested in becoming a nurse?
Study hard, take each day at a time and don’t sacrifice your friends, family and yourself when you’re stressed. Taking care of yourself is a huge priority and nursing school isn’t as bad as everyone makes it seem!

Q: How do you inspire future nurses?
I try my best to lead by example, treat every patient as if they were my family member and follow policies and procedures in everything I do. I hope my mindset helps to inspire future nurses!
