About Us

The Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in the Department of Radiology is the central digital platform used to store, manage, and distribute diagnostic images across the Military Health System. It ensures secure access to imaging studies for providers, supporting timely diagnosis, continuity of care, and compliance with federal health information standards.

List of Services Provided

1. Provide patients and providers with access to diagnostic images through a secure digital link.
2. Uploads outside imaging studies from non-DoD medical facilities or specialty clinics into the DoD enterprise imaging cloud to support continuity of care and longitudinal medical record completeness.

FAQs:

Q: How do we get a copy of our report?
A: Radiology does not provide any reports. Radiology findings can be viewed through the patient’s MHS Genesis Patient Portal. To request report, contact Release of Information (ROI) at 808-433-2526 or  https://tripler.tricare.mil/Getting-Care/Patient-Administration/Requesting-Medical-Records.

Q: If I had an x-ray or CT at another military treatment facility, do I need to pick up a CD to bring here?
A: No. All imaging studies done at an MTF are stored in the DHA Enterprise Imaging Cloud, which allows your new MTF to securely retrieve them electronically. You may also retrieve your radiology reports through your MHS Genesis Patient Portal.

Q: Can my civilian doctor see my military imaging records?
A: Civilian providers cannot directly access the DHA Enterprise Imaging Cloud. However, the Release of Information (ROI) Office can assist you in the delivery of your imaging records through a secure digital link with your authorization (DD Form 2870), in writing with patient authorization, or on official letterhead.

Q: Who do I contact if I need my imaging records?
A: Please see a representative at the Release of Information (ROI) Office located at G1A104 or call 808-433-2526.
