Specialty Clinic Referral Guidelines - Cardiology Clinic

Specializing in cardiovascular evaluation and treatment

Patients served: All DEERS eligible DoD Beneficiaries, with priority to Active Duty, VA as space allows, Adult patients only. Patients will also be prioritized based on urgency of the clinical condition.

Requirements for Cardiology:

• A referral from the Primary Care Provider 
• If Air Evac Patient, a completed Patient Movement Record, including patient information and PCP information
• Diagnostic services include twenty-four hour expert inpatient & outpatient cardiovascular consultative services, a complete ambulatory electrocardiography laboratory, a full service echocardiography laboratory (transthoracic, transesophageal, contrast assisted, stress and dobutamine stress echocardiography), a full service stress-testing laboratory, and a full service diagnostic cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Services not available include Electrophysiological Testing Services (EPS), electrophysiological catheter based therapies such radiofrequency ablation for atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia, bypass tracts, atrial flutter & atrial fibrillation and transplant surgery
