NEWS RELEASE for immediate release -Tripler Army Medical Center leadership is in the process of notifying patients who were seen by a former resident in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service between June 2019 and June 2023 that their provider is the subject of a criminal investigation by the Army Criminal Investigations Division. Patients will be provided with resources to learn about the investigation, file concerns, get answers to questions, and arrange medical care and other support.

The investigation was initiated on October 17, 2025, at Fort Hood, Texas, following a report to the Army Criminal Investigation Division regarding concerns with this provider. Tripler staff are fully cooperating with the CID investigation.

“Our patients’ health remains our absolute top priority,” said Col. William Bimson, TAMC director. “I know this information is incredibly upsetting to them, and we are here to provide support. We have many resources to offer, and we want to hear their concerns and help them get the medical care and other support they need.”
