COL Ronn is a 2001 graduate of Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He received a direct commission into the United States Army as a Pharmacy Officer in the Medical Service Corps in August of 2003.

Upon completion of the Army Medical Department Officer Basic Course, COL Ronn was assigned to Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Washington, where he served as the Chief of the Inpatient Pharmacy. During his time at MAMC, he was deployed with the 47th Combat Support Hospital to Mosul, Iraq, where he completed a 12-month tour as the Chief of Pharmacy Services.
 
After returning to MAMC, COL Ronn was stationed in Germany serving as the Pharmacy Chief at Grafenwoehr Army Health Clinic, and later, for the Bavaria Medical Activity. Following his time in Bavaria, COL Ronn was stationed in Pirmasens, Germany, where he served as the Chief of the Clinical Advisory Division at the United States Army Medical Materiel Center – Europe. While at USAMMCE, he was selected to be the Commander for the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment as well. While stationed in Germany, he attended Intermediate Level Education at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. After his tours in Germany, COL Ronn spent a year at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he completed his Pharmacy Practice (PGY-1) residency, as well as completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Trident University International.
 
Upon completion of his residency, Ronn was assigned to Fort Meade, Maryland, where he served as the Chief of the Department of Pharmacy at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center. During his time at Fort Meade, he was also dual-hatted as the Deputy Commander for Administration at Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic in Arlington, Virginia. COL Ronn then served as the Deputy Commander for Administration at the Kenner Army Health Clinic at Fort Lee, Virginia before taking command at Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. After a brief stint as the Pharmacy Chief at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, COL Ronn served on the Army Deputy Surgeon General’s personal staff as her Executive Officer before being assigned to SHAPE. He graduated from the U.S. Army War College with a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies (MSS) in the summer of 2021. 
 
COL Ronn’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with silver Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Superior Unit Citation with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze service stars, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon with bronze numeral 2, the Army Staff Badge, the Expert Field Medical Badge, the Parachutist’s Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold).

He is a 2016 recipient of the Order of Military Medical Merit (O2M3), a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a recipient of the Army Surgeon General’s 9A designator for professional excellence.
