Tripler Army Medical Center –
Competitors from Tripler Army Medical Center and the Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic competed in the Best Leader Competition Feb. 5 -9 at TAMC and Schofield Barracks. During the four-day event, competitors tackled the Army Combat Fitness Test, Ruck March, Combat Water Survival Training, Land Navigation, Stress Shoot, Warrior Task & Battle Drills, Medical Lane, written test, and a mystery event, which consisted of the Physical Fitness Assessment.
Congratulations to Capt. Jesse Guerin (DDHC), Sgt. 1st Class Heekyu Chang (DDHC), Sgt. Logan Fortney (TAMC), Spc. Carlee Goodman (TAMC), Spc. Nazarly Kurpita (TAMC), Spc. Lyghon Leslie (DDHC) for winning this year’s Best Leader Competition. These Soldiers will move on to compete at the Regional Health Command Pacific competition in Hawaii this spring.
The Best Leader Competition promotes “Esprit De Corps” throughout the Army while recognizing Soldiers who demonstrate commitment to the Army values and embody the Warrior Ethos. The competition recognizes those Soldiers demonstrating mental and physical toughness, superb military bearing, communication skills, knowledge of various military subjects and the ability to perform a variety of Soldier skills.
