Tripler Blood Donor Center works with Local Units to Help Military Readiness

The Tripler Blood Donor Center is essential to Tripler’s Army Medical Center ability to function as a trauma center. It is important to have blood on hand and in supply for patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, blood disorder treatments, and other traumas. January is National Blood Donor Month. The monthly observance celebrates voluntary blood donors, spreads awareness, and encourages people to donate blood during critical times.

Tripler Army Medical Center’s team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists is an integral part of the TAMC team, providing anesthesia to patients throughout the hospital. The CRNA team will use Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists Week, Jan. 21-27, as an opportunity to build strong relationships across the organization and to spread awareness of anesthetists. TAMC’s CRNA team consists of 24 members, made up of 15 active duty and nine civilian providers.
