Tripler Army Medical Center — On April 1, 2026, Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) held the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) Proclamation Signing Ceremony at the TAMC Chapel. As part of the signing, TAMC staff reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a culture of dignity, respect, and accountability.

Schofield Barracks and Bhaskar Dental Clinics increase their dental readiness and family opportunities through the Red Cross Dental Assistant Program

Tripler Army Medical Center — The Red Cross Dental Assistant Program offers a life-changing opportunity for active-duty family members to develop professional skills, gain hands-on experience, and build a career in dental assisting. This 7-to10-month, full-time training program provides participants with a comprehensive education in dental assisting, blending classroom instruction with valuable chairside experience. Open to participants from all military branches, the program has made a meaningful impact on the island of Oahu and beyond.

Tripler Army Medical Center celebrates 25th Infantry Division milestone baby

Tripler Army Medical Center, Hi. — Isabella Serrano and U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Arthur A. Garcia, a cannon crew member assigned to the 25th Infantry Division were honored as the proud parents of the 25th baby born to the division in 2026 during a special recognition ceremony in the Memorial Garden at Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic, Schofield Barracks, on April 1.

Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) will host its annual Baby Expo in April. The event has long served as an opportunity for families across the island, providing invaluable education, support, and a welcoming sense of community for families attending. Led by healthcare professionals, the expo provides families with the knowledge and resources needed to embrace the joys and overcome the challenges of parenthood. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at TAMC’s Oceanside Entrance.

The event has long served as an opportunity for families across the island, providing invaluable education, support, and a welcoming sense of community for families attending. Led by healthcare professionals, the expo provides families with the knowledge and resources needed to embrace the joys and overcome the challenges of parenthood. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at TAMC’s Oceanside Entrance.

Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) nurse leadership and staff host a one-day summit on Feb. 27 to introduce the Joint Professional Practice Model (JPPM), a comprehensive framework aimed at elevating standards across key areas of nursing practice and operational readiness. TAMC is set to become the first military treatment facility within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to adopt the JPPM.

Tripler Soldier earns Army’s top enlisted pharmacy technician honor

Tripler Army Medical Center — Spc. Antonia Arras, an inpatient and oncology pharmacy technician at Tripler Army Medical Center, receives the Larry C. Nesmith Enlisted Technician Award on Feb. 4 for her exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and dedication to patient safety.

Tripler Army Medical Center Enhances Pediatric Cardiology Services Across the Indo-Pacific

Tripler Army Medical Center — A pediatric cardiology team from Tripler Army Medical Center held its biannual clinics at U.S. Naval Hospitals Okinawa Dec. 1-5 and Yokosuka Dec. 8-12. The team provided specialized care to children of active-duty service members, retirees, and Department of Defense Education Activity employees. The visit also helped the military treatment facilities strengthen their capabilities.

For more than 30 years, Sharon “Sherri” Ward has been a cornerstone of Tripler Army Medical Center, embodying the spirit of service, connection, and community. Known for her warm demeanor and dedication, Ward has left an indelible mark on both the hospital and the local community, championing Tripler’s ohana culture for staff and military families alike. Ward oversees in-processing, out-processing, and hospital orientation at Tripler, where she ensures new employees feel welcomed and prepared. Her monthly two-day newcomer orientations in the Kyser Auditorium are more than just logistical sessions—they are opportunities to foster a sense of belonging and connection.
