Medical Student Rotations, Interviews, and Residency Applications:

The Tripler Army Medical Center General Surgery Residency Program welcomes third-year medical students from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) during their General Surgery clerkship rotations, as well as fourth-year medical students interested in applying for a position in the residency program who are enrolled in civilian medical schools through the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) or at USUHS.

Rotations serve as an opportunity to further your surgical education and audition for a position as a surgical intern. While your actual interviews with Tripler Army Medical Center surgery staff are important, each interaction you have with staff at conferences, in clinic, and the operating room are also important.
